After reading “, Out—Out” by Robert Frost, reflect on a time when you faced a dangerous or high-pressure situation that demanded your complete focus. What made the situation risky, and how did your concentration affect the outcome?

Prompt Response:  When my band concerts are getting closer, I sometimes feel pressured in front of the audience or judges. In a band, you need full concentration to play every rhythm and dynamic, to count every rest, and especially come at the right time. At LGPE (Large Group Performance Evaluation, big and small mistakes are noticeable, so the pressure to focused is very high. This evaluation makes me practice more than before. I remember my first year at LGPE, I was very nervous because it was my first 6 months learning about music and my instrument. However, my director words of affirmation and kindness bought us calmness that we were going to be just fine. Although, I lost count time on the rest, I focus on listening closely to my section and my senior bandmates helped me keep track. This experience reminds me that staying focus brings success to anything in I want to do.
