As we think about our upcoming Vocabulary Monday, tell me what is your favorite word RIGHT NOW? Why is it your faovorite word and how often do you use it?

Prompt Response: My favorite word right now is ¨Holis.¨ This word is a playful and warm Spanish slang that comes from ¨ hola¨ (hello). It is my favorite word right now because it sounds cute and friendly when you say it in a playful tone. Whenever I say it, my Spanish-speaking friends tend to give me a warm smile which is something I love to see in them. I use it very often when I see friends in the morning or during transitioning between classes. It makes our interactions more friendly and good vibes 

Summary: Today we worked on a childhood Powerpoint. 

Reflection: I will continue to work on the Powerpoint that is due Sunday night.

Describe a real-life situation in which jealousy negatively affected a relationship you experienced.

 Promt response: Since we started school, my best friend has a friend which she talks to every time she sees her more than me. Whenever I do the same or show more friendliness to my other friends, she questions why I act that way, so in return, I ask her the same thing but with her friend. I was questioning who her best friend was because since we met we had a strong connection with each other. We both realized that if we get jealous over situations like that, then our bond could break. We don't want that, so we are making our bond even stronger now and trust that our bond is stronger than jealousy. Summary: Today we read and discussed The Jealous Father and worked on a project about it.   Reflection:  The Jealous Father made me think how jealousy can make you do unthinkable actions to people who are close to you. I realize that action with jealousy can break and hurt the people involved.

If you had to write a poem about your life RIGHT NOW, what would it be about? Explain your answer in at least 4 to 5 sentences.

  Prompt Response:   If I had to write a poem right now, I would write about possibilities in the future. I have many things I like and find interesting, and I can't seem to decide on what I want to commit to. I am afraid I might choose the wrong path that won't take me anywhere. I feel a sense of urgency to figure out what I will do in the future, so I want to try things I am already good at.   Summary: Today we took notes on how to write a rhetorical analysis. Reflection:  I took good notes and did the blog post.
