Write about something that you believed as a child.

Prompt Response: When I was younger, I believed that the ¨Llorona¨ existed. La Llorona is a Mexican folklore about a woman dressed in a white dress, with dark long hair covering her face, who cries and wails for her dead children whom she drowned. My grandparents house had a separate kitchen and rooms area connected by long corridors and the bathrooms separated from the main house. So, whenever night came and I wanted to use the bathroom, I would ask my mom or someone to keep me company while I used it. After finishing, they would run to the main house saying ¨ Ahi viene la llorona!¨ which means ¨ The Llorona is coming!¨ and leave me behind to also make a run for it. I believed this story because I saw a silhouette of the tall scary lady standing in the woods watching me and before she could say anything, I´d be gone.

Summary: Today we wrote down 15 new vocabulary words and started on a visual representation of the vocabulary words.

Reflection: I will find images for my words to finish the visual representation to help me understand and recall the vocabulary.
