Thinking about "The Rockpile," what is something your parents forbade you from doing when you were growing up? Explain what it was and why they might have set that rule.

Prompt Response: Growing up, even now, my mom never let me go to certain places alone like the park. She might have set that rule to ensure my safety. One time I wanted to go for a walk alone at the park while she stayed with my little siblings, she didn´t let me go  but I insisted so much that she let me go. As I was walking, this man approached me and said that I should be more careful. I felt unsafe, so I rushed back to where my mom was. So, from then on I never walked by myself.

Summary: Today we went over background information for the new reading ¨ The Rockpile¨ and started a Powerpoint presentation with groups.

Reflection:  I will do my blog and finish reading  ¨ The Rockpile¨
