Today, you learned how to complete a rhetorical analysis planning guide step by step, from identifying the rhetorical situation to analyzing devices and effects. Reflect on one step of the rhetorical analysis process that helped you understand the process more clearly. Explain what you learned during that step and how it improved your ability to analyze a speaker’s message.

Prompt Response: One step of the rhetorical analysis that  made me understand the process more clearly is the body paragraph because I learned what the topic sentence should have and the what the evidence and commentary should look like. I should also add a strong verb in the topic sentence to make sure that my topic sentence is strong. I learned to add more transition words to connect my sentences better.

Summary: Today we went step by step on how to write a rhetorical analysis essay.

Reflection: I will finish filling out the graphic organizer before Thursday.
