How does watching the film version of Into the Wild change or deepen your understanding of Chris McCandless compared to reading the book? In your response, explain one key difference in how his character or experiences are presented, and connect this to a time when seeing something visually changed your understanding of a situation.

Prompt Response:  The film version of Into the Wild changed and deepen my understanding of Chris McCandless by showing me his character as being warm, empathetic, and passionate, meanwhile in the book, Chris is portrayed as stubborn, and distant. Seeing something visually changed my understanding of the situation when he abandons his Datsun in a flash flood. In the book, this incident is shown as something reckless from an inexperience guy. However, in the film, this incident was shown in slow motion, which shows how he was forced to leave his possessions. This allowed me to see that his actions weren't as reckless as I thought they were, but rather as a rejection of unnecessary materials.

Summary: Today we watch the film adaptation of the book

Reflection: I watched the film

If you had to describe how you show love using only three objects (for example: a playlist, a hoodie, a late-night snack, a long text message, etc.), what would you choose and why? Explain what each object represents and how it connects to your personality.
