Reflect on your research topic and identify the most compelling issue connected to it. Clearly explain what the issue is and discuss why you find it particularly interesting or important. Support your response with specific details from your research.

Prompt Response: My research topic was the impact of personal technology on mental health and our question was how technological connectivity affects young peoples mental health. The issue with this topic is that there are many positive and negative effects. As I was reading through my source, some said that most research resulted in a low correlation between social media usage and the negative effects of it. However, many research has been done on this topic and many found that social media leads to low self-esteem, less focus and other negative effects. This topic offers many perspectives and points of view which makes it complicated to condense the information into one argument. For example, one source argued that the most important thing about technology is not the amount of screen time rather the content consumes and the mindset behind social media usage. I find this to be interesting because it allowed me to see different perspectives and points of view on this topic.

Summary: Today we worked on gather our 7 sources for our research project.

Reflection: We got almost half of it done and will continue working on it Friday.

Reflect on your reading of Into the Wild chapters 1–10. Which chapter stood out to you the most, and why? In your response, explain what specifically made this chapter meaningful, interesting, or impactful.
